The Westport Mission has turned a page... after 19 months, David Fincher has turned over the pulpit to Ed Dean. Ed Dean is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College and is an accomplished Gospel preacher.
Despite the "Stay-at-home" orders from the Governor of Florida for groups consisting of 10 or more, The Westport church is still preaching the Good News of Jesus.
Ed immediately took over and his first Sunday was live-streamed on Facebook from his home. Praise God, Ed's first sermon and live stream for the Westport Church had 44 views... an increase of attendance if you will.
The Westport Church is hoping to begin assembling together again soon, probably by the time you read this post.
CrossWay Missions will continue to help the Westport Mission at every opportunity it has and we are extremely happy about Ed Dean's stepping in and helping this vital stateside mission work.
We are grateful for the time we spent in this local mission work. Several individuals were baptized, along with rededications, memberships placed, and deeper commitments were made to the Lord, not to mention the close relationships we forged with the members of this wonderful church.
