After a wonderful visit with my children and grandchildren and after a great revival in Central Georgia, I have now returned to Carrabelle on the Forgotten Coast.
The visit to California to see my children and grandchildren was great. We enjoyed everything from Chinatown in San Francisco to the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. There were loads of laughing, lots of great food, and a warming of the heart that only family can bring. I hope the children can come to visit in Saint Lucia once I have established the work there.
The visit to Central Georgia was also a blessing in so many ways. I was able to see so many of my brothers and sisters in Christ from days gone by and meet many new church family members. I enjoyed preaching and teaching during the Revival, (there's nothing on earth I enjoy more), and watching God move through His powerful word.
I was also able to share the mission with so many and received great news that the Tombsboro Christian Church was coming aboard supporting the mission on a monthly basis beginning September. I want to thank Bill Moody, (the minister of the Tombsboro church) and the members of the Tombsboro church for your support. You are now part of this mission and God will bless you for your vision and willingness to partner with Him in spreading His word.
I was also able to talk with the board of another church, as well as meet other ministers of local churches, and a number of individuals who are considering supporting this mission work. Please pray that God continues to open doors for this mission effort.
The countdown counter at the bottom of the page reminds me I have 282 days until I set sail for Saint Lucia to begin this great mission work there. There are so many things that still must be accomplished; from boatwork, to raising support, to survey trips, to locating a partner missionary... BUT God is bigger than all those things and HE is able! I'm pressing on!
"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,..." Ephesians 3:20
God bless you!
